Our Ministries
India Ministry
In 1986 our congregation was presented with an opportunity to become involved in planting a church in Kochi, South India. Our evangelistic work saw steady growth as people came to believe in Jesus and be baptised. The church soon outgrew its facility and a new facility was built. From this church other churches were started.
Further works have been started in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Our efforts have been focused on seminars to train church leaders. To help address the pressing needs in this area we grow two rice crops each year which feed 150 each day.
We donate funds to train women in dress making. Those who complete the course to a high standard are helped to purchase a sewing machine so they can help to provide for their families.
Children Ministry
We have an active children’s ministry in the church. Every Sunday the children, from toddlers to teenagers, have Bible classes focused on Bible literacy and the basics of the Christian faith. We believe that the Bible is God’s word and that it is fulfilled in Christ. Our goal is to have every child understand the general arc of the entire biblical story as well as develop personal faith in Jesus Christ.
Our children have regular meetups outside of church services as well. Especially during the summer months regular events are planned for both socialisation and fun but also service. Past events have included movies, sports days, crafts, picnics, and orienteering.
All teachers and supervisors of our children’s classes have been Garda vetted and a designated child safety officer appointed.
